Grey Griselle French Shallots

2 comments:

  1. Hi, I found your blog searching for information on French grey shallots. I've got them growing in my garden in Maine as well, and am wondering about when to dig them.

Yours look great. Mine are looking similar, although some of the leaves are beginning to fall over. Good luck!

  2. The French Shallots pictured above can/should be pulled when they fall over. They will look like an animal got in with them and rolled on top of them. A day or so after they are pulled you can weave them together. Don't damage the tops, because the bulbs are still growing and will pull nutrients out of the tops. They will get larger after they are harvested.
